Paintings

Tali Gallery offers two floors of hung art and a comprehensive stockroom of Acrylic and Ochre paintings on canvas and linen priced from $55 and boards at $66; through to very special

 artworks from iconic elder artists in remote communities including Philip Gudthaykudthay, Dorothy Djukulul, Mabel Juli, Phyllis Thomas, Shirley Purdie, Phyllis Ningamara, Mabel King,  Tjawina Porter, Kim Butler, Susan Wanji Wanji, Margaret Boko, Alison Inkamala,  Mavis Ganambarr and Judy Manany painting their weaving, Alice Nampitjinpa,  Eunice Napanangka Jack, Robin Kankapankatja, Taylor Cooper, Alec Baker, Paddy Tjapaltjarri Stewart, Shorty Jangala Robertson, Judy Napangardi Watson, Dorothy Napangardi, Liddy Walker and others, all sourced from art centres with impeccable provenance and ethics.  We are able to source and commission on your behalf from both Aboriginal owned art centres and independent urban artists such as the King Sisters, and Anthony Walker.   All of our paintings on display are stretched on the premises and we also offer stretching services in house.

Limited Edition Fine Art Prints
We have a wide range of carefully chosen screenprints, etchings & linocuts produced from works by Independent Artists & Community Art Centres throughout Australia, including the Desert Regions, the Kimberley, Arnhemland and the Tiwi and Torres Strait Islands.  Some are framed and hung on our walls and others are displayed in our print folders.  We can arrange framing.

Artefacts
Tali G offers an ever changing  selection of artefacts and handcrafted Carvings, Bark Paintings, Clapsticks, Woven Pandanus Fibrework, Baskets & Fishtraps, created from natural, local materials representing Desert Regions, Arnhemland,  Elcho Island, Goulburn Island and the Tiwi Islands within Australia. Artists include Robyn Djunginy, Mavis Ganambarr, Judy Manany, Bob Burruwal and Lena Yarinkura, Anniebell Marrngamarrnga and Lulu Laradjbi and others.

Glass
Tali Gallery is proud to offer Indigenous artist, Summer Mathews’ hand painted, slumped glass  inspired by her Barkindji heritage from the Menindee region. Her subjects include the Rainbow Serpent, Waterhole and Eaglehawk.  Summer has exhibited in the Netherlands, Chicago and throughout Australia and is included in significant private collections.  Summer creates functional glass pieces with coasters from $45, sushi platters for $58 and $68 and bowls from $98 (through to $175 and $195) and platters at $250.  Her art glass is magnificant – including glass ‘coolamons’ on stands and ‘grinding’ stones.

Textiles
We offer an ever changing range of Screenprinted and Hand Dyed Fabric lengths, Cushion Covers, Lampshades, Scarves and Bags using Cotton, Linen and Silk created by Urban and Traditional Artists from various Regions or printed under licence.

Jewellery
Within the jewellery offered at Tali Gallery, there are hand crafted silver earings & pendants bearing traditional designs, necklaces created with handmade glass beads to match the desert landscape, natural seed beads from the desert; and beads from shells, seeds & bone from the Top End.   Limited Edition jewellery bearing artworks from Yuendumu and Utopia and cross cultural painted bangles are highly contemporary and affordable.

Corporate Artworks
Tali Gallery offers a selection of ambient artworks to enhance & enliven offices, hotels, restaurants & hospitals. We also stock larger works ideal for foyers & boardrooms, and smaller pieces for offices & corridors.   Di  also offers design and advisory services and happily works with external designers.  Hiring & art sharing options are a popular choice although the current tax legislation allows 100%  depreciation on artworks under $5,000 for businesses.
