We highly recommend a visit to the Canning Stock Route Exhibition at the Australian Museum in College Street Sydney between February and April.  The stories are fascinating and the art is beautiful.  The tour guide, Jimmy Smith, has faciliated workshops with kids at Tali Gallery and is bound to have some interesting stories.   The exhibition has been previously exhibited in Canberra and in Perth.   Di was intrigued by some of the stories recounted of the first time some of the Aboriginal artists featured saw the impact of new settlers to their land, particularly camel footprints and a transistor radio.   One of the artists included in the exhibition is Mervyn Street – this is a print created by Mervyn of the Dreamtime Story, Dunbi the Owl, which is framed and available for sale at Tali Gallery.
