There is great movement and strength in his small paintings of horses, cowboys, bulls in the setting of his country  – subjects that have captured his attention since he was a little boy.   His work is held in public and private collections in Australia as well as overseas.  Lance James is ranked in the 100 top Aboriginal artists in Australia, and thus, his paintings are highly collectible.
